If you are here to get job leads or produce and distribute a resume or use the telephone to start your job search, you can do most of that yourself with help from our professional staff;

CareerLink offers a full schedule of activites that may benefit you. You can:

  • Work with our counselors to get some job search tips, or
  • Take a resume writing or job interviewing class, or
  • Take an assessment to help you sort out career possibilities

With time and dedication, in only a couple of weeks, our Ready2Work program will help you evaluate your skills and improve them to fit your job search strategy. A Career Readiness Certificate puts you on the inside track with dozens of employers guaranteeing you an interview if you match the profile for which they are looking.

You may qualify for retraining either with our occupational skill training courses offered at the PA CareerLink or with longer-term training offered at area technical and trade schools and colleges. Refer to our contacts page for IU-13 and Lancaster Career and Technology Center contact information.

Finally, there are a variety of other community and social services available at the PA CareerLink. You can sign up for GED or English as Second Language classes, apply for public assistance or child care benefits, inquire about post-secondary (college) education, talk with a vocational rehabilitation counselor, apply for unemployment compensation, and meet many other service providers.
