Free Training Opportunity!

Free Online Training Provided
by the PA CareerLink of Lancaster County

While supplies last, the PA CareerLink is offering residents of Lancaster County free online training through Metrix Learning.

Metrix Learning offers more than 6,000 online courses related to careers in sales, management, customer service, human resources, desktop applications, and information technology,

Many of these courses provide the information that learners need to complete certifications provided by Microsoft, the Human Resource Certification Institute (PHR and SPHR), APMG-International (PRINCE2), the Project Management Institute (CAPM and PMP), and ASQ (Green Belt, Black Belt, and CQM/OE).

While the training is free, there are certain requirements for its usage...

  • You must provide some basic identifying information and agree to allow us to monitor your progress in completing the training.

  • You must use the 90-day license within two weeks or the license will be revoked. We find that, if you don't get started in that timeframe, you probably will not use the license.

  • We ask that you connect with the Internet at home or at a local library. We would consider accommodating you as a last resort but please remember that our space is limited.

  • While the license is free to take courses on Metrix, you are responsible for any fees that you may incur as you look to certify your skills through the various assessments that are available.

  • We expect hundreds of people to be involved in this initiative so please be patient if you need support.

To get started, go to www.jobs4lancaster.com and click on Metrix Online Learning and complete the form. This information is required in order to register you in the Metrix system.

Once you register, you will receive an email from Metrix Learning with log in information to begin your training.

You may be interested in attending an orientation to Metrix Learning that is offered at the PA CareerLink on a regular basis so you can learn how to navigate the system. You will receive an email inviting you to a Metrix Learning Orientation following your confirmed registration.
